[TV] Re: ctc187 recall
Hello: I had almost the same exact problem, and someone here gave me the
answer. There is a blue rectangular capacitor very close to the horizontal
output transister, it a 1600 volt waveform capacitor, and it was causing the
HOT to short. I had my doubts but I replaced it, and even though the old
one didn't test bad, that made the fix. I called the customer back to check
30 days later and its still working.
