Voltage accross CX3516 and CX3517 is 129V. Is it normal?

I'm working on a Zenith model PV4655BG9 with the 9-700 digital board. The set came on with no pic and no sound. Turning up the G2s revealed vertical collapse. Replacing vert. out and capacitors has no effect and the output has 24 and 12v supplies. could the problem be with the 9-700 and if so, any guesses as to what it might be? any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks,
jason

Is this a total flat line or very small vertical deflection?I had some back in the day that had corrupted vertical parameters in the eprom. Some only had 3 inches of vertical deflection which I could only see by turning up the screen control.Punched in numbers directly from service data for vertical height and increased until it came up.If you have a total flatline I would check to see if you have a ramp waveform on the connector feeding drive from the 9-700 to the deflection board and try the vertical parameter.Don't remember what parameter no. was for vert height but service mode access is hold down menu until menu disappears(Since you can't see it at least 30 seconds)9-8-7-6-enter.You will need the parameter no. which I can look up if no one else finds it since you can't see the menu(raster is totally blanked until you get sufficient deflection).Never had too many problems with the 9-700 itself just bad connections at the regulator transistors on the side and an occasional bad
tuner.Only chip that I had to replace on them was one of the sound ics, never the deflection ic on it.The 9-700 only comes with the soldered on ics.Doesn't come with any of the plug ins.

On the 700 board - IC2701 is the DPU deflection processor unit. Vert driver comes from junction of R2707 and R2708 (from pins 26 and 27), goes thru C2103 into base of Q2100, out emitter via L2101 to connector 4K3 pin1, and over to deflection board. IC2701 is Zenith number 221-563, in stock at $14.52 dealer.

thanks for the tips.. so far i have been unabale to utilize the service menu. the set has about 3-4" of vertical deflection for about 10 seconds before it slowly goes to flat line. i don't have a manual for service parameters so if anyone knows which one is vertical height, it would be very helpful. thanks

with remote hit menu untill it disappears- then 9-8-7-6 enter
you should then be in service menu 5 is vertical height,
so hit 5-enter then 179 enter should get you in the ballpark
good luck
