[TV] Re: RCA MM36110 TV
Hi,
This set has two tuners. The channel arrangement is controlled by the Gemsat
(TV Guide module). The way I read the symptom, this is not a tuner fault.
Play a DVD over input 1 or 2 and if the symptoms persist, you have a video
processing problem. On another note, the American US models have a weather
service module that will warn of weather conditions, cutting into your
video. I have no experience regarding this, since we don't see version in
Canada.
Have fun,
Dieter

OK. Here is the info: Yes, I speak of barometric pressure. The cableTV
connection comes in through a Sony VCR directly to Video 1 on the TV
(MM36110). The TV itself is set to 'antenna', not cable. When TV is set to
'cable' the disappearing picture is far more frequent.
The Panasonic SA-HT70 Home Theatre unit goes in through Video 2 input on the
TV.
XBox in through Component connections and Gamecube through Video 3 on the
TV.
The disappearing picture affects all inputs the same way - audio with no
picture. There is another TV on another floor in the house through a
different cable TV connection.
There is no possibility of water infilteration in one or more of the
connectors in the system.
Central A/C is running all the time so there is no humidity build-up.
Is this enough info?
Thanks.
