[TV] Re: Zenith PVR5263RK - Need service manul and/or advice
Guys, I put the procedure up on Harry's site.
I got a pretty decent picture out of this unit but there's one major
problem:
There's a dot on the green CRT right in the center where the phosphor is
burned out.
If it were off to the side I could live with it but it puts a spot the
size of a dime right about the center of the screen,
so in impedes viewing pleasure quite a bit.
To make matters worse, the red CRT has a hole in it too, but it's much
smaller compared to the green and therefore is
a little bit less of an annoyance. Blue is OK.
It looks like these CRTs aren't available anymore (Tritronics doesn't
have them).
The cost of two new CRTs is also more than this TV is currently worth,
I'm thinking.
If anyone knows of an alternate supplier of the CRTs or has a used red
and/or green in stock
for a fair price, please let me know. I'm an interested buyer.
A bare CRT is OK--I'm willing to deal with the glycol.
The model numbers I've got are
Green: 170ACB22(G) or A-17649-21
Red: 170ACB22(R) or A-17649-23
Thanks,
Rick
