[TV] Re: Re; coolant leak. photo
Ok here's what I got so far and what I will attempt (see photo) At the
centerof the CRT assembly there is a "larger then the rest" philips type
screw, located in a box shaped portion of the assy, it is in the lower left
hand corner of this box, to the right of the screw are two dots, one red one
white. Question: is this screw a "port hole" for the coolant? and if so will
removing this screw release the old coolant? If so removing the old coolant
will make this a lot less sloppy. Next, in the photo there are two of the
four "spring loaded screws" visable, I remove all 4 next and this should
brake the old "damaged" seal & release the upper part of the assy which
holdsthe lens. Next, put the lens half asside clean the coolant well with
distilled water replace the seal with 100% silacone, put the lens half of
theassy back on and let dry for a day. Next, once sealant is dry refill
thewell with new coolant and put the screw back in and check for leaks, if
noleaks I am done. Am I missing anything?? Just want to be sure, Thanks!
