[TV] Re: Toshiba 56HM66 need ballast

Tony , right , toshiba only sells light engine with ballast , I just bought one 2 weeks ago.
Customer already bought his own lamp , but wasn't firing enough to stay on.
After changing the light engine , it was the same , so I change the lamp and it was ok.
Probably the light engine was good.
But I was surprised of the price of it , I think I have paid $379 or something like that (here in Canada) , should be cheaper in the states.
Unfortunately , lamp doesn't come with light engine :(   (they could have done better hey !!) (or say they sell engine only , not light engine hehehe).
So I would recommend you to change the lamp first !! even if connector is melted a bit , try your best to fit , or change connector , take it from a scrapted unit. Anyway , solder them together , it is probably the last lamp your customer will put money in (or he will come back to see you again for the next one).
