[TV] Re: Fw: RCA HDLP50W151YX1 bulb info needed
This RCA number crosses to assembly or bulb numbers RPE023, osram 69375,
260962. The warranties range from a couple of months to one year. A couple
sites report the lifetime as 5000 hours. To consume 5000 hours in one year, the
set would have to be on more than half the day every day. My experience with
lamps is that turning them on/off a lot is bad for their lifetime. Also, it is possible
to buy a bad batch of lamps. I once bought some deuterium discharge lamps
that lasted only a week when they should have lasted a couple thousand hours.
I returned them and never bought from there again (didn't want to buy back those
same lamps again). The Osram warranty is probably one year, so you might be able
to get a free replacement that way, but I bet the customer has gone slightly past
one year. That's the way it almost always works out.
