[TV] Sharp LC46D43U lamp error reset

This Sharp LCD was dead with a steady green blinking LED.
I found a tip for another model LC26D5U LCD about resetting
the lamp error and the unit now works.
If I pound on the back with the heel of my hand I can get the
brightness to change (get briter) on just the left and right sides.
If I use a sharp hard tap with my nut driver handle it won't
change at all.  None of the connectors on any of the boards will
affect the brightness if wiggled nor does any flexing or tapping
on the boards cause the same thing.

The problems definately seems to be internal to the panel.
Has anyone had any luck trying to tear down a similar model
and actually been able to fix the panel?
