Component repair on LCT units with CPT panel

This is a possible fix for the LCD with the following symptom ? No video, OSD, or logo at startup but the backlight will come on and you may get audio. It does not eliminate the Main PCB as the suspect but it may save you from ordering the Main PCB. There is a fuse that may be blown on the Driver PCB (not available to us from the factory) for the panel. Replacing the fuse location FU101 (1 amp fuse) with a slow-blowing fuse. Try checking and replacing this fuse before ordering the Main PCB (part #771EL27AD04-05). If the fuse is not blown, then order the Main PCB from FOX International (888-498-7278).

Procedure Instructions

Remove back panel from the unit following instruction in the service manual. Just above the housing for the main PCB is the Driver PCB. Remove the 4 Phillips screws for the cover from the interface PCB and remove the cover.

Once the cover is removed you can test the fuse.

The fuse is located on the lower left side on the Driver PCB.

If the fuse is blown, replace with a 1A CP (circuit protector) fuse - time lag sub miniature fuse is recommended. You can order this fuse from Mouser Electronics at 800-346-6873 using part # 576-0251001.MRT1L. Littelfuse part #0251001.MRT1L if you want to order from someone else. This should give you an image. If it doesn?t fix the issue or it is not blown, then order the Main PCB.
